Day Three Wrap Up

Drove 297 miles today and I think I'm too tired to tell the tale. Up to Deadwood first. Took a strenuous hike up the hill to give my regards to Seth. And my quads are barking at me already this evening.

Then a lunch at Taco John's followed by dessert at the Chubby Chipmunk. We didn't spend too much time in the town of Deadwood. Too crowded and just full of shops and people. Been there. Done that.

Back to the 90 for a trek East. Took the Badlands loop, in a semi-leisurely way...not. Then back on the 90 for the rest of the journey to Pierre, the state capital. Dark when we arrived and we were beat so no exploring tonight. Hitting the hay now. One more shot from the Badlands. If you don't see this until Friday, it's because the Internet at our motel in Pierre is down. Joy!
